Children’s Ministry Highlights
Children’s Message during worship
We value inter-generational worship here at Bracken Methodist Church, meaning we love having all ages of the family worship together. At each of our worship services, 9:00 AM Traditional and 11:00 Contemporary, the children have a time of teaching just for them. In addition, when you visit us here at Bracken, look for our “Worship Bags” for the children to enjoy during the service.
Sunday School
Sunday School is held between our two worship services from 10:00-10:45 AM. All children three years old through fifth grade are invited to join us for Bible lessons, music, crafts and fun with friends.
BASICS- Brothers And Sisters In Christ’s Service
BASICS is our Children and Youth Ministries Program for children age 3 through 12th grade. Every Sunday evening during the school year, we meet for an evening of faith, fellowship and food. We begin with our weekly Bible lesson, play games, make crafts and then end the evening with a homemade dinner made by volunteers from the church. BASICS is held 4:30-6:00 PM.
Special events and celebrations
Several times throughout the year, our BASICS enjoy holiday celebrations and special events. We love for families to join us and enjoy these special events.
Joyful Noise Music Class
Here at Bracken, we are a small church with big ministries. We are growing in so many areas and one of those is our Children’s Music program.
Vacation Bible School
Every summer we hold Vacation Bible School for children of the community. This year we are approaching VBS a bit differently. We are taking it out into the community. We will hold VBS on Mondays at Pickrell Park under the pavilion during our Food Pantry. It will be a shorter time, but we know it will be fun! Times to be determined. MORE INFO TO COME!
Nursery Services
Infants and toddlers are always welcome to join families in worship services, however our nursery is staffed for those families that would like to utilize it during both worship services and Sunday School.
Bracken Methodist Preschool
