Bracken Youth Ministry
BASICS
Welcome all youth grades 6-12 and families! The youth ministry of Bracken exists to grow the faith of youth in our community so that they may serve and lead as disciples.
Youth Fellowship: Brothers And Sisters in Christ’s Service (BASICS) .
The Bracken Youth group meets weekly September through May; and for other events throughout the Summer. Youth meet Sunday evenings from 4:30 5:30 and then they enjoy fellowship dinner with the children at 5:30.
Sunday Gathering
Youth meet for Sunday school at 10 am following the 9 am service. Join us in the Wahl House- a space designed and made for the youth!
Sunday Gathering
Our NEW Sunday evening Youth gathering begins at 4:30. Children and youth come together at 5:30 for dinner and fellowship.
Upcoming events:
Youth volunteer in many areas including Vacation Bible School and leading worship services.
Mid-Winter Retreat
Midwinter was a fun time for youth to come together for worship, fellowship and fun team building.
Summer Camp July 9th – 14th
Summer Camp was at Twin Oaks Camp in Buda, TX It will be a wonderful time for campers and our directors as well.
Mission Opportunities
We had a “Backyard Mission” week where we participated in local service opportunities in our area. We joined Schertz UMC for composting yards in the area.
Mission Trip
We had a Mission Trip again this summer June 11th – 16th!
Last year the Youth went to Goliad and did a lot of hard work building a ramp, porch, and remodeled a bathroom. They had fun as a group and made new friends as well.
Important Documents:
All volunteers and students must have the medical and permission forms submitted in person before participation in all events on or off campus, must be renewed annually.
Our Remind group @brackeny Instagram @brackenyouth, are our primary means of communication. They include Videos of Lessons, Youth testimonials, prayer requests, and information and permission forms for upcoming events.
